Republican Geoff Duncan calls Georgia GOP "embarrassment" after state party ouster

The Georgia Republican Party has voted to expel former Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan from the state GOP, according to an email sent to Duncan. Duncan is barred from qualifying with the Georgia Republican Party if he seeks state office again and the organization demanded that he quit referring to himself as a Republican. It is not clear what legal standing the committee has over Duncan, should he choose to challenge the resolution.
