Atlanta police Friday were investigating a predawn kidnapping and sexual assault in which the victim jumped from a window to escape her attacker.
The 22-year-old victim met the suspect outside a Metropolitan Parkway club, and as the two were walking down Thornton Street, “the suspect pulled a knife, took her to a vacant house and made her undress and sexually assaulted her,” Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said.
“After the assault occurred, the victim managed to jump out of a window,” Jones said.
The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be examined.
Investigators late Friday morning had not released a description of the suspect.
