As she walked along a Barrow County road, Deborah Ann Burton was struck and killed by a driver who didn’t stop.
Now, investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible, the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Burton was walking along Manning Ginn Road toward Ga. 53 on July 13 when she was hit by a vehicle traveling the same direction, Lt. Matt Guthas said. She died the following day, according to her online obituary.
Barrow deputies and the Georgia State Patrol are looking for a late 80s to 90s General Motors vehicle in connection with the crash, Guthas said.
Anyone with information on the vehicle or driver is asked to call the Barrow sheriff’s office at 770-307-3080, ext. 3083.
