A New Jersey man is back behind bars after police said he held up a children's shoe store, one day after release from prison. And they say it was the same crime at the same store that landed him behind bars 15 years ago.
According to NBC New York, Christopher Miller was arrested in 1999 after police said he tied up the Toms River, N.J., Stride Rite employees in the store's back room.
He was convcted, and after his 15-year sentence was finished, he was released Friday.
Police said Miller went to the same store on Saturday, demanding cash and ordering the workers to go to the back room.
They refused, but according to reports, he did end up taking the cash drawer and the $389 in it.
The police chief said in television interviews- that he has to wonder whether Miller considers prison home, where he can have shelter and meals.
According to the New York Daily News, Miller was charged with robbery and held on $100,000 bail.
