Medics were called to a Florida airport Wednesday after reports of a hard landing.
WFTV later learned a small plane flipped at Merritt Island Airport when the pilot allegedly hit the brakes too hard upon landing.
Photos obtained by Eyewitness News show the plane upside down on the runway.
The pilot and his wife suffered minor injuries and were taken to Cape Canaveral Hospital for evaluation.
The airport was closed for a brief period of time following the crash.
