The owner of a parked car that rolled out of a carport Sunday and hit four children was booked into the Hall County Jail Monday night, officials said Tuesday.

Oleksandra Myrna was booked into the jail about 6:30 p.m. on four counts of misdemeanor reckless conduct, according to Channel 2 Action News. She was released at 12:26 a.m. Tuesday after posting $4,000 bail, the television station reported.

About 5 p.m. Sunday, Myrna’s car rolled out of the carport and struck the children, ages 2 to 8, who were playing in a yard nearby, according to Channel 2.

Julian Rangeo, 8, and Sebastian Rangeo, 5, were flown to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in good condition.

Channel 2 reported that Emilee Guerra and Savannah Brown, both 2, were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where they were treated and released.

The Georgia State Patrol told Channel 2 that the car was parked in the driveway for 30 minutes before it began to roll. Troopers believe the car was not in gear and are investigating if the parking brake was on, Channel 2 said.
