Chamblee police are investigating a shooting late Friday night that left one man dead and another wounded.

Officers responding to Clairview Drive just before midnight found Armando Lopez Perez lying in the roadway with two gunshot wounds, Chamblee police Capt. Ernesto Ford said.

Perez, 30, of Guatemala, died at the scene.

Ford said a second victim was found nearby with a leg wound and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. The wounded man’s name has not been released, but Ford said he is related to Perez.

“The surviving victim told investigators they had left a nearby restaurant/bar when a vehicle pulled up and the passenger approached and began firing,” Ford said.

Investigators had not determined a motive or made any arrests Saturday afternoon, according to Ford.
