A DeKalb County police officer headed to a call wrecked today while trying to avoid hitting a car that pulled out in front of the cruiser on Panola Road.

The officer, who has not been identified, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The cruiser ended up in a tree line near the intersection of Panola Road and Benton Drive, the station reported.
