"The truck went inside like this, right here, so it destroyed the whole house completely," Joshua Carmona, of Santa Fe, told the television station.

According to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office, a white Chevrolet pickup truck fleeing deputies plowed into the Carmonas' home at the Lone Star Mobile Home Park, the Santa Fe New Mexican reported.

Carmona said he was sitting on his living room couch when the truck hit the side of the mobile home, landing in the bedroom where his four children — ages 12, 9, 6 and 5 — were sleeping, the newspaper reported.

Miguel Garcia, 19, of Santa Fe, the accused driver, was booked in the Santa Fe County jail and charged with aggravated fleeing of a law enforcement officer, aggravated drunken driving, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance, the New Mexican reported.

According to deputies, Garcia was driving the wrong way down a road and nearly hit a policeman, KRQE reported. Garcia then ran a red light before hitting a car before swerving into the Carmonas' residence, the television station reported.

Garcia had to be removed from the truck because it was covered with debris from the home, and he was taken to a hospital, the New Mexican reported. According to a criminal complaint filed Friday in the Santa Fe County Magistrate Court, Garcia admitted to deputies that he had consumed "three or four" beers before getting behind the wheel, the newspaper reported.

"It's just a miracle and we thank God for being alive right now," Carmona told KRQE.

GoFundMe page was created to help the Carmona family.
