Maine’s government, which has been shut down for the past three days, is back in business after Gov. Paul LePage signed a new budget, according to a statement from his office.

All non-emergency government offices had been closed since July 1, CNN reported.

LePage had declared a state of civil emergency on July 1, as the biennial budget had not been approved by the state Legislature by June 30 -- the final day of Maine’s fiscal year.

But Tuesday morning, LePage tweeted, “The Maine state government shutdown is now over. Happy Fourth of July!"
