A Florida man was arrested and charged with child neglect Sunday after he lost track of a 2-year-old girl while using his telephone to participate in a fantasy football draft, authorities said.

Jesus Noel Martinez, 27, was arrested by Pasco County sheriffs, WTSP reported. Deputies said the toddler was found outside, more than 1,000 feet from Martinez's residence. Martinez told deputies that he did not realize the 2-year-old was missing until a 6-year-old in the house told him she was missing, WTSP reported.

The person who found the girl said she was wearing a dirty diaper, WTSP reported. The girl was changed and put in clean clothes while the person who found her called the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

The girl was unharmed, deputies said.

Martinez was arrested at his home about an hour after the toddler was found, deputies said. He remains in custody, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office website.
