A south Fulton County interstate ramp was shut down for about two hours Saturday while authorities investigated a fatal single-vehicle wreck.

The wreck happened before 2 p.m. on the I-85 southbound ramp to Senoia Road, according to Fairburn police Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo.

Bazydlo said the driver of the vehicle, which ran off the ramp into a wooded area between the ramp and the interstate, was killed.

The identity of the motorist was being withheld until relatives could be notified.

The exit ramp was reopened about 4 p.m.
