The summer pattern of showers and storms continues Monday and isn’t expected to let up until later in the week, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologists.

Every corner of the state will see some wet weather, with a 60% chance of rain in the forecast, Channel 2 meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

“It’s not going to rain everywhere all day, but we are all going to see a chance of rain,” he said.

The day will be a bit cooler, too, he said. The cloud cover will keep the high temperature in the low 80s, with several areas topping out at about 82 degrees.

The Westside and other parts of metro Atlanta are already seeing some of the wet weather, but for now it is light, Monahan said. Heavier rain will move in later in the day, he said.
