Mathew Simon, of Grayson, claimed a $2.5 million top prize at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth. His winning 21 Black Series game ticket was bought at the CITGO Food Mart at 3200 Highway 78 in Snellville.

Earlier this month, two metro Atlantans also celebrated big lottery wins. A Cherokee County man won $1 million when he stopped to buy a hot dog and grabbed a $10 Million Cash Spectacular ticket. And a Douglasville woman won the $745,710 jackpot prize from matching all five winning numbers from the Oct. 1 Fantasy 5 drawing.
