South Fulton police are trying to locate a man they say set part of a church on fire Sunday night.

The alleged arson damaged the Enon Baptist Church on Enon Road, police said in a Facebook post.

Surveillance footage captured the man outside of the church about 11:30 p.m., South Fulton police said. In a video, he can be seen pouring a “flammable substance” on the church’s door and igniting it.

The motive behind the arson is not clear, but police said it could be related to a similar incident that happened Oct. 1. The details of that incident were not immediately available.

The suspect was last seen wearing long pants, a hooded jacket and a head covering, police said.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity is asked to contact South Fulton police. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
