A Stone Mountain man has been arrested for sending inappropriate emails to the office of the Hall County school board, authorities said.

Chester Lamar Bagwell was arrested Nov. 13 on stalking charges after repeatedly sending emails “harassing and threatening in nature,” according to a news release from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

Emails sent by Bagwell were brought to the attention of the sheriff earlier in the month. According to the release, which did not reveal the number of emails sent, Bagwell was contacted by an investigator from the sheriff’s office and told to stop contacting the board, but he did not.

Bagwell was booked into the Hall County Jail on one count of stalking and has a $3,000 bond.
