A 33-year-old Johns Creek man with a history of mental problems has been taken into custody for allegedly stabbing his mother multiple times, authorities said.
Andre Ottey could be charged with aggravated assault, said Chris Byers, police spokesman for Johns Creek.
The woman, whose name was not released, received non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed with a knife in her abdomen, neck and arm, Byers said. She was transported to North Fulton Hospital.
While the police department has responded to the house, in the 4700 block of Ogeechee Drive, on several occasions, this is the first time Byers recalls physical violence of this nature.
“Our other dealings with him have been different,” Byers said.
