A 4-year-old girl drowned Monday in an above-ground pool at a Spalding County residence, the coroner confirmed.
Leilani Kai Jackson was reported missing for about 90 minutes Monday, coroner Sonny Foster said.
Spalding sheriff’s deputies, the Spalding County Fire Department and Spalding Regional EMS crews responded to the Birdie Road residence, according to the coroner.
Jackson was pronounced dead shortly before 8 p.m., and her body was taken to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy.
No foul play is suspected, Foster said.
Officials said there was debris in the pool and that it had not been used in more than a year.
