DeKalb County Watershed Management has fixed a six-inch water main break that left 40 homes in Brookhaven without service much of Wednesday morning.

Residents in the 1200 block of West Nancy Creek Road had been without water since at least 7 a.m., when the city of Brookhaven notified them of the water main break on its Facebook page.

The county announced completed repairs at 3 p.m.

Though residents now have water services restored, workers “are completing temporary repairs to the affected driveway,” DeKalb officials stated in a news release.

“Permanent repairs to the driveway will be made when weather and temperature are favorable,” county officials said.

It is unclear if the road is still closed while crew complete temporary repairs.
