Dogs old and young will invade Newtown Park in Johns Creek for a Saturday in September.

The Johns Creek “Pup-A-Palooza” will feature live music, caricature sketches of folks with their pups, food for people and pets, and more from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 9. There will also be contests for “Best Dressed Dog” and “Best Dog Trick.”

But the event needs additional pet-related vendors. Vendor registration runs through Sept. 1, and vendor fee at “Pup-A-Palooza” is $50.

An ad for vendors on the city’s website says that the event is “a great opportunity” for businesses to “establish brand awareness and loyalty” and build new relationships with prospective customers.

The city will provide one table and two chairs per vendor, and only vendors who are approved to sell merchandise and products may do so.

General liability insurance may be required, and electricity will not be available to vendors.

For more information on "Pup-A-Palooza", contact the Recreation and Parks Division at 678-512-3200 or visit the city's website.
