Four Lawrenceville teenagers were injured Monday night when a car drove off Webb Gin House Road and struck a tree, Gwinnett police said.

About 10:30 p.m., Ashlyn N. Boyd was eastbound at a high rate of speed when the 1996 Honda Civic she was driving veered off the roadway, according to an incident report obtained Tuesday by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She overcorrected, lost control of the car and struck a tree on the other side of the road, police said.

Boyd, was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected, according to the report. All four teens in the vehicle were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center-Lawrenceville. Two of the passengers were 16 years old. The third passenger was 15 years old. Boyd, whose age wasn’t specified in the report, was born in 1998, police said.

Speed is a contributing factor in the crash, but alcohol is not, according to the report. The investigation continues.
