Plane clipped utility pole, causing crash in Bartow; 2 injured

Two men were injured in a plane crash near a Bartow County subdivision Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
A Cessna 172 crashed in Euharlee on Milam Bridge Road about 1:50 p.m., Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said.
Investigators believe the plane clipped a utility pole, causing it to lose its propeller and crash. It was headed to Houston from South Carolina, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The pilot was still strapped in the plane and the passenger crawled out with a head injury, Channel 2 reported.
The pilot was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition was not released.
The passenger was taken by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Channel 2 reported.
Their identities have not been released.
The four-seat plane had heavy damage, according to the news station. The plane is registered to the Project Management Group, a Houston-based company that specializes in construction projects.
