A man was killed and another person was shot in a home invasion in Griffin, police said Thursday.

Quentin D. Poole, 36, was found dead with several apparent gunshot wounds at 815 West Slaton Avenue, police spokesman Lt. Michael Natale said in a news release.

The other person who was shot was treated at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital and later released. That person’s name has not been released.

Natale said police believe three or four men with bandannas over their faces forced their way into the residence.

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the Griffin Police Department at 770-229-6450.
