Atlanta police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who was last seen Sept. 8.

Napoleon Veal, 62, is known in the Grant Park area and was last heard from when he asked a friend to watch his dog while he went to a job, police spokeswoman Stephanie Brown said in a statement. Veal told his family he was going to paint a house, possibly in Jonesboro.

He was last seen leaving the area in a vehicle, Brown said.

Veal left the dog with the man and did not return, according to a police report.

Veal is described as 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, with salt-and-pepper hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police at 404-546-4235.
