A man has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide after a deadly four-vehicle crash Tuesday night on I-285 East in Sandy Springs.

About 9 p.m., Vlad Hriscan was driving a Honda Accord near Riverside Drive that rear-ended a Nissan Altima driven by 31-year-old April Solis, police said. The impact in the right travel lane forced Solis’ car into the path of a tractor-trailer.

The truck hit the driver’s side of the Nissan, killing Solis, police said.

A fourth vehicle, a Dodge Challenger, hit the tractor-trailer after it had collided with the Nissan, according to police.

In addition to vehicular homicide, Hriscan, 25, was charged with following too closely, police said.
