Your DeKalb Farmers Market wants shoppers to know it is staying open and maintaining normal business hours amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Known for its vast offering of international foods, fresh produce and meats, the grocer posted on its website that it is "committed to providing you the best service during this difficult time."
“We are following the same protocols we have had in place,” the farmers market wrote.
The store, located on E. Ponce de Leon Avenue, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. When it is closed, employees clean and sanitize the facility.
“We clean and sanitize the eating areas, production areas, and restrooms during the day,” the notice on its website stated.
Smaller farmers markets around the state have scrambled to find ways to stay afloat amid a flurry of recommendations from federal officials and emergency ordinances from local governments.

Other grocers, including Kroger and Publix, have reduced store hours due to the coronavirus. At City Farmers Market's six stores, customers must have their temperatures screened before being allowed to shop, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported last week.
DeKalb Farmers Market pointed out that it is not as busy during the week, allowing “plenty of room to circulate around other people.”
The air inside the farmers market cycles through a washer every 10 minutes, keeping 65% relative humidity at 62 degrees.
“We are doing our best to stay fully stocked at this time.”
