Coke gives $1 million to help re-open Atlanta rec centers

Coca-Cola chairman Muhtar Kent announced a $1 million donation to Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed's "Centers of Hope" project today.

Kent made the announcement this morning while introducing Reed at the annual State of the City Address.

The "Centers of Hope" project is Reed's plans to re-open and expand Atlanta's  community recreation centers. It was one of his key campaign promises in the 2009 election.
