Atlantans woke up to a wintry mix Wednesday morning, prompting multiple schools and businesses to close. The Georgia Department of Transportation noted there were nearly 200 crashes reported by midday and urged drivers to stay off the roads.

Gov. Nathan Deal announced state government offices will also remain closed for non-essential personnel Thursday across the 83 counties impacted by winter weather.
But if you're in need of essentials, including food, follow the Twitter hashtag #OpenInATL or #ATLOpen. Stores, restaurants, hotels and more are using the tags to announce that their doors are open amid the wintry weather.
