DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond will deliver his 2019 “State of the County” address at two separate events in April.

As he has done in previous years, one speech will be delivered at the annual luncheon hosted by the Council for Quality Growth and DeKalb Chamber of Commerce. Registration is required, and the cost is $65 for Chamber members and $85 for non-members.

The luncheon will be held on April 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia, 4355 Ashford Dunwoody Rd. in Dunwoody.

The second time Thurmond presents his “State of the County” address, it will be at a free community breakfast on April 27.

That event will be held at 10 a.m. at Greenforest Community Baptist Church, 3188 Rainbow Dr. in Decatur.

Both speeches are open to the public. During them, Thurmond is expected to provide an overview of his previous 12 months leading DeKalb and outline priorities for 2019.
