The lineup for the 2016 Honda Battle of the Bands is set.

You can see photos of the bands here.

Eight bands from historically black colleges and universities will perform in the 14th-annual event January 30 at the Georgia Dome. Participants will include:

• Alabama A&M University, Marching Maroon & White

• Alcorn State University, Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite

• Bethune Cookman University, Marching Wildcats

• Jackson State University, Sonic Boom of the South

• Lincoln University, Orange Crush Roaring Lions (first-time participant)

• Prairie View A&M University, Marching Storm

• South Carolina State University, Marching “101”

• Tennessee State University, Aristocrat of Bands

The eight bands were selected through a combination of online fan voting, feedback from band directors, HBCU presidents and American Honda representatives. Honda pays the travel costs for each band and awards the schools $20,000 grants to support their music education programs.

Which band won't be performing? Southern University's "Human Jukebox". Band leaders of the Baton Rouge, La. college notified fans last month via Facebook that the popular band, a performer at the 2015 Honda battle, will only participate in the event every five years.
