UGA dance marathon raises $500,000 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

More than 1,000 participants helped raise more than $500,000 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta during a recent dance marathon at the University of Georgia.

The 24-hour event, held this year Feb. 22-23 in the Tate Student Center, has served for 18 years as the annual culminating fundraiser for the student-run philanthropic group, UGA Miracle. The 24 hours feature concerts, special guests, competitions, food and opportunities for students to interact with current and former Children’s Healthcare patients.
