Fulton County Schools wants parents, school employees and other community members to give feedback on sex education materials on display at various locations in the district.
The state Board of Education requires that all materials dealing with human sexuality and HIV/AIDS be approved by the Health Education Advisory Committee and the local school board in each district.
Materials covering personal safety and school climate, teen sex, myths about sexually transmitted infections and abstinence are on display at Independence High in Alpharetta, Ridgeview Charter School in Sandy Springs and the Fulton County Schools Administrative Center in Atlanta.
The materials will remain available for public review through September 25.
