Math teams representing each grade level at Sandy Creek High School and Flat Rock Middle School won top honors in the fifth annual Morehouse Math Boot Camp Competition. Sandy Creek High swept the 10th-grade division with Anna Hyde taking first place; John Suess, second; and Emma Bryan, third place. Flat Rock Middle swept the eighth-grade division with Sarah Suess placing first; Daniel Jefferson, second; and Alli Foran, third. Sandy Creek senior Phaidra Buchanan won the best overall award, for a second consecutive year, with a top score of 85 out of a possible 100 points. She was also recognized as being the only student to have competed every year since the boot camp started five years ago.
