The quality of school lunch has never been confused with the fare at five-star restaurants, but some educators in Gwinnett County complain federal guidelines aimed at making those meals healthier are also making it less tasty.

In 2010, Congress passed a White House plan that included proposals to reduce the amount of salt in school lunches.

Many local nutritionists say they’d like greater control over school lunch and hoping Congress will make some changes next year.
