The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced a third round of scholarship winners Wednesday.
These winners will receive between $500 and $2,000 a year during their college career to help them earn the degree of choice.
These metro Atlanta winners were among 1.5 million high school students who applied. The winners has to write an essay and provide information about extracurricular activities, awards, and leadership positions. They also had to have an outstanding academic record, be endorsed and recommended by a high school official, and earn SAT scores that confirmed a qualifying test performance.
