Gwinnett County school officials have scheduled a meeting aimed at helping parents of students with disabilities currently being homeschooled or in private school.

Officials will discuss services they can offer to those students. The meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 5, 1 to 3 p.m. at the school district’s headquarters, 437 Old Peachtree Rd., Bldg. 200 in Suwanee.

Gwinnett is required to locate and identify children from birth to 21 years old with disabilities who are in need of special education and related services. School district leaders noted at a recent budget discussion they are educating more students with autism and spending more money on therapeutic support.
