About 700 Georgia school board members are gathering in Atlanta this weekend for the annual conference of the Georgia School Boards Association/Georgia School Superintendents Association.

School board members participated training on Wednesday and Thursday, and they’ll attend educational sessions and view exhibits on Friday and Saturday.

Speakers include State School Superintendent John Barge, former NFL player Bill Curry, Jim Bearden of Bearden Resource Group and Ako Kambon of Visionary Leaders Institute.
