DeKalb watching weather, with eye on potential closings

DeKalb County schools are thinking ahead and watching the skies carefully in the face of forecasts of possible snow flurries and school closings in the next 24 hours.

“We’re following our inclement-weather protocol and monitoring the reports from the National Weather Service very closely, and talking to the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and other school districts,” said spokesman Quinn Hudson.

No decisions about school closings have been made. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution will monitor school districts for closings and post them as soon as we know.
