The DeKalb County School District has announced a new online system for families registering their children in the district for the first time.

The online registration portal allows families to enter vital information and is available on most internet-capable devices. District officials said students transferring within the district must withdraw from their current school and register at the new school. The district rolled out a new online registration system for all students in 2017, but allowed parents of new students to be the first to use it then.

To use the online registration portal, the parent or guardian must have information including proof of residence in the district, a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate, immunization certificate, social security card and school transcripts, if applicable.

The website, which officials said has been available since June 3, will be open through June 20, then again July 7 through July 25.
