DeKalb parents could have spotted a familiar face were they watching TV One Monday night.

Joyce Morley, one of the more outspoken members of the DeKalb County Board of Education (see here, here and here), served as an expert psychotherapist on the TV One show "Fatal Attraction." Her episode, "Killer Cult," dealt with the 2010 killings of a woman and young child by Peter Lucas Moses Jr. in Durham, N.C.

Three woman who lived with Moses as his spiritual wives, and referred to him as “Lord,” also were convicted of crimes connected to killing Antoinetta McKoy, another woman who lived in the house as Moses’ wife, and 4-year-old Jadon Higganbothan, a child of one of the surviving women.

According to Morley’s professional website, in addition to her service as a DeKalb school board member, she serves as a licensed psychotherapist in private practice. She also is recognized as a nationally certified counselor and national certified school counselor by the American Counseling Association (ACA), a clinical member and approved supervisor by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and a certified criminal justice specialist by the National Association of Forensic Counselors (NAFC).
