Atlanta Public Schools officials are monitoring forecasts but as of early Monday afternoon had no plans to close schools Tuesday.
Metro Atlanta could see some rain mixed with snow Monday afternoon, with flurries after about 6 p.m. Monday and through Tuesday, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton. Snowfall is expected to be light through noon Tuesday.
The North Georgia mountains, however, could get at least 1 inch and up to 2 inches.
