The Atlanta school board is encouraging employees to get out and vote early.

Board members and Superintendent Meria Carstarphen have invited employees to come vote with them Tuesday at noon at the Fulton County Government Center.

“This event is intended to encourage everyone, especially younger voters, to exercise their rights and make their voices heard,” Board Chairman Courtney English said in a written statement.

The event is voluntary and non-partisan, English said. Employees who join in Tuesday must do so on their own time. Employees receive time off on Election Day to vote.

Early voting ends Nov. 4.
