Ardern's face was projected onto the 163-story Burj Khalifa in Dubai on Friday, CNN reported. Photographer Hagen Hopkins of Wellington, New Zealand, snapped a picture of Ardern embracing a woman at the Kilbirnie mosque in Wellington, the Morning Herald reported. That image was shown on the skyscraper in the United Arab Emirates, along with the Arabic word "salam" and its English translation, "peace."

UAF Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed expressed thanks to Ardern on Twitter for her actions after the March 15 mass shooting at two mosques in Christchurch that killed 50 people.

"Thank you PM @jacindaardern and New Zealand for your sincere empathy and support that has won the respect of 1.5 billion Muslims after the terrorist attack that shook the Muslim community around the world," Mohammed wrote.
