An American Airlines plane slid off the runway Monday at Chicago O'Hare International Airport while attempting to land in snowy conditions, according to officials. No one was injured.

After the landing, 38 passengers and three crew members were aided off the plane and bused to the terminal. Twitter users later posted footage of the accident.

Flight 4125, which is operated by Envoy Air, left Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina, about 6:22 a.m., and arrived at O'Hare about 8:30 a.m., nearly an hour behind schedule.

At the time of the accident, O'Hare was experiencing excessive arrival and departure delays because of snow and ice.

More than 400 flights had been canceled at the airport Monday and 93 were canceled at Midway, according to reports.

A winter weather advisory was in effect for the Chicago area. The forecast called for snow accumulation of up to 6 inches along with blustery winds between 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph inland.
