Rosabella Dahu, 7, was expected at the program, but she gave staff at her Houston-area school a note that read, “I want Rosabella to go too dus 131 today!”

"Basically a second-grader tricked the school system and was able to go home on this note," Rosabella's father said. "You can clearly see that my daughter did not even spell the word bus right."

The note had no parent signature.

According to ABC News, the note worked, and Rosabella ended up riding the bus home, which sent her father, Charlie Dahu, into a panic.

"She came to ask my wife to use the restroom, and that's when I figured there was something wrong," neighbor Rolando Lozano told KTRK. He said they noticed Rosabella in front of their home, alone, and were concerned.

"I was shaking, I was scared. I was just glad to see her in good health and that nothing happened to her,” Charlie Dahu added.

After the incident, Dahu told ABC News that he transferred Rosabella to a different school. He said “disciplinary actions” were promised by administrators against the staff of her previous school.

"I understand, maybe my daughter was in the wrong for writing the note in the first place, but they're adults," Dahu said.

"Obviously they didn’t have proper procedures in place. This is clearly the school's fault. How a 7-year-old can trick you, it boggles my mind."

According to KTRK, the school district issued a statement, saying it was “reviewing our training procedures” and would work to “make sure that all of our after-school grant staff receives the same training as district employees.”
