A New Jersey mother is taking her daughter's school and gym teacher to court over her daughter's broken ankle.
According to the Parsippany Patch, the 13-year-old shattered her ankle during a gym class game of touch football.
The suit, filed by the girl's mother Kathy Morgan, claims the game was held on long, wet grass according to nj.com, and that her daughter may walk with a limp for the rest of her life.
The Parsippany Focus reported that the teacher had taken the class to the field for two and a half weeks before the teen's injury andthat other students fell and had minor injuries due to the field conditions.
The teen's ankle injury required surgery and the insertion of plates and screws in her foot. She is no longer using crutches, but is walking slowly and with a limp according to nj.com.
