Gwinnett County high schools, except for Peachtree Ridge, were affected by a technical glitch during final exams Tuesday morning.

Spokesperson Sloan Roach said there were connectivity problems for online tests. The school system got the problem fixed, but the school system wants to make sure students have sufficient times to finish the tests. So it extended the test-shortened day by 30 minutes.

During final exams, students are released two hours earlier than normal.

Today, students will probably be getting out about 1 and one-half hours earlier than normal. High schools start at slight different times, so dismissal times will be affected accordingly, but most will be out around noon.

Elementary and middle schools are unaffected.
