The company is working with Strayer University so employees at participating dealerships can enter programs to earn their associate, bachelor's or master's degrees, reports the Detroit News.

Dealers will be able to opt into the program for a flat fee that will be the same regardless of how many employees take part in the program.

"The longer people stay in their positions … their performance is going to improve and the final customer experience is going to be much improved. It’s a great opportunity for our dealerships," said John Fox, FCA US director of dealer training, in an interview with the Detroit News.

Fox added that it's expected most employees who take part in the program will take classes online.
