A man was arrested early Friday on DUI charges after he crashed his vehicle into a state trooper's car on an Orlando road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The FHP said Kenneth Fernandez, 24, of Orlando, crashed into a trooper's car and another vehicle in a construction zone. The trooper had the lights activated on the cruiser, the highway patrol said.

The trooper was trapped for about 30 minutes. She remains hospitalized in stable condition, the FHP said.
