A double amputee pinned an intruder to the floor of his Ohio home until police arrived Saturday night.
A woman returned from work to her home in Dayton around 9 p.m. and found a stranger standing in her bedroom, according to the police report.
The room had been ransacked, and the victim screamed for her husband as the intruder ran past her, according to the report.
The woman's 34-year-old husband, who has two prosthetic legs, was sitting outside in a wheelchair when he heard his wife scream.
The man went inside and hit the suspect in the head with a glass liquor bottle, according to the report.
When police arrived, the suspect was bleeding from the head and pinned to the floor with the handicapped victim sitting on top of him, according to the report.
The suspect, Joseph Copeland, 49, and the male victim were both taken to Miami Valley Hospital, according to the report.
Copeland, who was summoned to court, was expected to be treated for mental health as well as medical treatment for his injuries, according to the report.
